Natural Wine – A Salon

This looks like a great event if you\’re in the New York area. A Natural Wine talk and tasting with Alice Feiring, Barbara Shinn and Pascaline Lepeltier among others. Details below:

What does \”natural wine\” taste like? What does it sound like?

Please join me and New York Wine Salon for our first \”salon\” event, at the swank Metropolitan Room, which usually features caberet rather than Cabernet, as I moderate a combination tasting and panel discussion.

The topic, Natural Wine, is both incredibly hot and invariably misunderstood. Organic… sustainably farmed… biodynamic… what makes wine “green” anyway? On tap: a dozen delicious and worthy-of-the-“natural”-tag wines from around the planet, served tableside along with platters of artisan cheeses, charcuterie and bread. Sip, nibble, discuss, repeat.

Our panelists:
* Alice Feiring, author of forthcoming Naked Wine
* Barbara Shinn, Shinn Estate Vineyards
* Pascaline Lepeltier, Rouge Tomate
* Christy Frank, Frankly Wines
* Jeff Weissler,

We will feature four flights of three wines:
