Domaine Gauby is a family-run estate lying 300 metres above sea level in the lower foothills of the Corbières wine-producing area, looking across to the Pyrenean mountain range. The property covers an area of forty hectares (99 acres) comprising schists, calcareous flows and marls. With such a great diversity of terroirs and the different orientations of our vineyards, we are able to work with a number of local grape varieties, such as grenache (Black, White and ‘Grey’), carignan, macabeu, syrah and mourvèdre. The greater part of our work is carried out in the vineyards, where we have a total commitment to the protection of the ecosystem with natural yields amounting to 15 to 20 hectolitres per hectare.
