To promote the Languedoc wine from organic farming the following decisions must be taken:
- New winegrower must be advized on organic farming but also on the winemaking with natural yeasts. Indeed, generally the winegrower newly organic farming keep the same winemaking as when they were in conventional farming.
- Mr. Julian (who said that natural wine is not good) should defend the organic wines of Languedoc, indeed an organic american wine is 75% organic, while the wine of a French winemaker is 100% organic
An organic wine for me is:
- With natural yeasts
- Without chaptalization
- Less sulfur
- Without acidification
A wine with natural yeast is more personal and less submitted to competition.

Thanks for writing this.

I'm a huge proponent of a natural approach to wine making and the power of the real-time web to create global marketplaces and interconections between producers to consumers.

And a fan of your mag. Your heart is firmly in the right place.

But to call for technology as the solution is skirting the issue and avoiding the facts.

Putting a QR code on every bottle of artisanal natural wine while the majority of the producers don't have sites nor speak English is a great populist call to action but no more than that. Notable and good way to win elections, not create change.

This is not a technology issue.

It is a community one. A consumer behavior one. An understanding of whether indeed natural can be a web filter and brand. And a question of the role of the specialty wine shops who, unlike most producers and certainly the distributors, touch the consumer.

You speak as if the 'new' marketing and information age is new?

The issue is not technology. The issue is the unique characteristics of this marketplace, from production through distribution to delivery. And which of these will and can be disrupted. And when.

Having as much transparency in what we drink as in the refrigerator that we my on Amazon is of course important. The label is important but not the solution.

One person's opinion only of course;)
