It’s time for our Eighth Annual Natural Wine Event! Sample delightful natural wines imported by Jenny & François Selections, and learn about them from the winemakers themselves.

On Saturday, February 18, taste 20 wines for just $20, and stand face to face with these passionate artisans as they share their stories.

Throughout the afternoon we will also hold short optional seminars with three engaging speakers: Florent Plageoles from the Plageoles winery in Gaillac, France; Helena Lomazzi from the Colombaia winery in Tuscany, Italy; and Andy Fisher, President of Astor Wines & Spirits and Astor Center.

Eleven natural winemakers will be in attendance. Please book your spots early, as tickets may sell out.

Under the guidance of still new-ish sommelier Michael Garofola, Genoa continues its strong series of wine dinners with an event on Monday, May 16 featuring Slovenia’s Movia wines. Winemaker Aleš Kristancic will be on-hand during the five-course meal to talk about the natural, biodynamic wine movement and share stories about his family’s winery (which has been in business since 1820). $95; reservations required.

Join owners Barbara Shinn and David Page on a walk through their vineyard, where they will discuss the organic and biodynamic farming practices they are using, along with natural winemaking practices including indigenous yeast fermentations. They can answer your questions about biodynamic farming & the certification process, as well as addressing how they make use of practices such as:
• permanent cover cropping in tandem with permaculture
• compost tea
• biodynamic field preps
• putting compost “to sleep” for an extended summer cure.
