Harvest at Shinn Estate Vineyards is well under way, and we are seeing some of the most beautiful fruit ever here at the vineyard.
The whites are all picked, except for the Riesling which will be picked on Wednesday, and tomorrow we begin harvesting the reds.
We will be picking the best of the reds as the moon begins its ascending phase, which ensures nutrition levels in the grapes are the highest possible. Since we do not add any sulfur at the crushpad, and use only the natural yeast present on the grapes for fermentation, the health and ripeness of the fruit is of paramount importance.
